Congratulations Father Heanue!

Sunday, June 27th:  What a glorious day for our parish as we welcomed home our native son, Father Christopher Heanue, as he celebrated his First Mass as principal celebrant here at St. Mary's.   Father Heanue is currently assigned to the parish of Holy Child Jesus in Richmond Hill.

As we rejoice as a parish in the ordination of Father Heanue, let us not relax in our encouragement of other men to follow. I believe that there are several other young men in our parish who would make fine candidates for the priesthood. Do not be afraid to say that to them, encourage them and most importantly, pray for them. You can also mention to Fr. Evans or myself, if you feel that someone may have a vocation. Please pray for our new priests, our current priests and our future priests!

God bless,
Fr. O’Connor
